I’ve enjoyed hearing from guests who are just as excited as me for the new Haunted Mansion products coming this fall to Disney Parks . As it turns out, Madame Leota and the 999 happy haunts from the Haunted Mansion attraction have also received your sympathetic vibrations. This fall, they are gathering to open a new merchandise destination in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida. The new merchandise shop will be located in the current Yankee Trader shop , which will have its last day of operation on July 27, 2014. Inspired by Madame Leota, the new location will carry select items from the upcoming Haunted Mansion Authentic program including apparel, home goods, souvenirs, and more. Final arrangements are still being made, so I invite you to keep watching the Disney Parks Blog in the coming months. He travels frequently for his job as a sales rep for various skateboard and snowboard apparel companies, and he would often text back photos to his sisters, who range from 13 to 22 years old. Get on Snapchat, they told him, so he did. He used the app to draw funny doodles on top of his photos and sent them to his sisters who showed their friends, who added him in turn. As his following grew, he began taking it seriously, formed a business, and dedicated his time to sending out a high-quality Snapchat each day. Within a few months, his drawings had spread past local high schoolers to Reddit and a few online articles and caught the attention of marketing departments. Shaun McBride snapped Frozen-themed images for Disney earlier this month. One day when McBride was riding a ski lift in Colorado, Disney called. They asked him to come out to Disneyland and take over their official Snapchat account for 24 hours.

Spaces still left in 2015 Disney Princess 5K and Kids Races Space in the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon, Glass Slipper Challenge and Enchanted 10K races sold out quickly last week. The annual race draws tens of thousands of runners each year and the 2015 race weekend is scheduled for February 1922, 2015. Although many races during the Princess Half Marathon Weekend sold out quickly, as of Sunday night, three competitions still have spaces remaining: the Disney Princess 5K, the runDisney Kids Dashes and the runDisney Kids Mile. Each of these races stands at about 75 percent full; any interested parties should sign up soon before all slots fill up. First look at new Trattoria al Forno Restaurant Disney Parks Blog announced the debut of Trattoria al Forno, a new restaurant coming to Disney's Boardwalk Inn later this year. Trattoria al Forno's menu intends to feature "Old World Style" cuisine such as wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted mozzarella, homemade pasta dishes, pork, chicken, fish, and beef. Diners can order off the all-Italian wine list to complement their meal and finish the evening with traditional Italian desserts, such as tiramisu, lemon panna cotta, and bombolini (Italian donut holes) served with dark chocolate and vanilla gelato. Disney opens reservations for Boardwalk's newest restaurant in a few weeks, but has not yet announced a specific opening date.

Through the SOS Children’s Village program the team donates jerseys and soccer equipment to kids in Ghana, Africa. To date they have donated more than 300 uniforms, and expect to send another 200 after the tournament at Disney, as well as some other Disney keepsakes. “Soccer is the sport but we really wanted to make them community leaders,” said coach Horwood. Helping fellow teammates in Africa is rewarding and raises their awareness of the world around them. Recently the girls received photographs of kids in Africa wearing their jerseys and playing with their equipment. “Growing up soccer has been kind of a lifestyle for me, something I really enjoy, giving the chance to give other kids in Africa the chance to play is fulfilling,” said Ajax FC defensive back Lauren Pugh. On behalf of everyone at Disney Soccer and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, I want to congratulate Ajax FC for their hard work on and off the pitch. Kingsolver, 49, is one of at least 35 Disney employees arrested since 2006 and accused of sex crimes involving children, trying to meet a minor for sex, or for possession of child pornography, according to a six-month CNN investigation that examined police and court records, and interviewed law enforcement officials and some of the men who have been arrested. Five Universal Studios employees and two employees from SeaWorld have also been arrested. So far, a total of 32 have been convicted, with the remaining cases pending. Two cases, which were for possession of child pornography, occurred on Disney property, according to police reports. None of the cases involved children or teenagers visiting the parks. Kingsolver, a service manager who oversaw ride repairs at the Magic Kingdom, has pleaded not guilty to soliciting a child for sexual acts and traveling to meet a minor for unlawful sexual activity. He said he thought he was going to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex at a house set up by detectives from the Lake County, Florida, Sheriffs Office, according to police records.

SeaWorld takes this technology to a new level, creating the first commercially available consumer product: a refillable plastic cup. Since The Coca-Cola Company introduced PlantBottle technology in 2009 as the first recyclable PET plastic bottle made partially from plants, more than 450,000 barrels of oil have been saved. And, more than 20 billion PlantBottle packages have been distributed in 31 countries worldwide. "Once we fully realized the power of PlantBottle technology, we knew it had real-world, global applications well beyond our own products," said Scott Vitters, general manager, PlantBottle packaging platform, The Coca-Cola Company. "This collaboration with SeaWorld demonstrates that PlantBottle technology can be applied anywhere that PET plastic is traditionally used, but with a lighter footprint on the planet.” Colorful in-park murals and point-of-purchase displays promoting environmental advocacy will help inform park guests of the new product. SeaWorld eventually plans to use Coca-Cola's PlantBottle technology in the manufacture of many of its souvenir cups and is actively exploring opportunities for its potential use in the development of other merchandise. If you’re a World Cup fan, you probably already know that the matches are televised daily at ESPN Zone in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort . You may have even seen fans lining up outside ESPN Zone prior to kickoff. Now the Downtown Disney District is offering an additional option for viewing the competition. Matches will be televised on a jumbo 10-by-16-foot outdoor LED screen in the Downtown Disney District common area, between ESPN Zone and Earl of Sandwich . When the World Cup semi-finals, third place and finals matches arrive on July 8, 9, 12 and 13, Downtown Disney District World Cup festivities will also feature a DJ and additional special activities for fans. A pop princess met a Disney princess at Magic Kingdom Park , and it was all in celebration of Ariana Grande’s 21st birthday. The singer, who recently topped the charts with her megahit “Problem” (featuring Iggy Azalea), visited Magic Kingdom Park, where she was met by Mickey Mouse in front of Cinderella Castle . Then, Prince Charming and Cinderella helped celebrate with Grande as a giant Bibbidi Bobbidi Blue-hued birthday cake, created by the talented team of Disney Pastry Chefs, was unveiled. Dozens of Grande’s friends and family members joined in the fun to help the global music superstar celebrate at Magic Kingdom Park.
